Step 3

Finalize Agreement & Pre-Match Consultation

Once accepted, we execute our services agreement and explore the type of surrogacy arrangement that best meets your needs — including the medical, social, and educational characteristics you seek in a surrogate candidate and your expectations for communication.

Surrogate Recruitment, Screening & Matching

Step 1

Application & Interview

Each surrogate applicant completes an extensive questionnaire covering social, educational, and medical history as well as compensation requirements and insurance assessment.

Step 2

Matching Process

This phase involves careful evaluation of potential surrogate candidates — a comprehensive assessment of personal, social, and financial considerations. We provide you with an overall surrogacy plan, a summary of estimated financial considerations, legal process overview, and completed intake forms. The matching process is critical and should not be based on matching you with the next surrogate in line. Our process is designed to allow intended parents and surrogates multiple direct communication prior to making a final match decision after our initial introduction.

Step 3

Psychological & Medical Screening

Once an initial match is achieved, we coordinate further medical, psychological, and background screening. Medical screening includes blood work, ultrasounds, and exams. Psychological screening includes the MMPI assessment and a clinical interview by a licensed mental health professional.

Step 4

Agreement Finalization

We provide terms of agreement to the intended parents attorney which is based on the initial intake provided by the surrogate. The surrogate is represented by separate legal counsel. Once executed, funds are deposited into escrow accounts and the medical process proceeds.

The Medical Process

Stage 1

Medication Start

Your surrogate starts medications under the supervision of the fertility clinic. She'll be evaluated using blood tests and ultrasounds to determine readiness for implantation. Monitoring is often completed by a fertility clinic close to the surrogate under the supervision of the intended parents' fertility clinic.

Stage 2

Embryo Transfer

After careful monitoring and evaluation during the medication protocol calendar, the embryo transfer date is set. Candace is coordinating and overseeing this process with the clinic and the surrogate. Travel arrangements are made by Candace and her team.

Stage 3

Monitoring & Support

A pregnancy test is performed approximately 10 days following the transfer. If positive, ongoing monitoring via blood tests and ultrasound continues at the monitoring clinic.

Case Management During Pregnancy & Delivery

Scheduled payments are made according to the contract. We maintain continual contact with the surrogate, ensure compliance with appointments, follow up with medical providers, and mediate any issues. We are here for both parties every step of the way — through pregnancy, delivery, and beyond.
